Whether its wearing green on St Patricks day or throwing the bouquet at a wedding, there's something to be said for tradition. Its part of who we are and who we are going to become. Both working with tradition and making a few of their own, BBQ sauce and rub company MFT(My Family Tradition), is making their voice in the whole foods and wellness world. They offer a variety of gluten free, quality sauces and rubs, in which they use only the finest and freshest materials.
Traveling to Natural Grocers stores across the Pacific North West, Scott and Janel of MFT have been cooking and showing off their product. "We recently started to have a lot going on with expanding!" Janel said as she explained a business venture they are working on with Whole Foods. Not to mention their huge catering event at the Payette River Games in Idaho this year!
While representing their product and gaining more popularity, Scott and Janel share simple, but delectable recipes using their sauces. Recipes such as a Portobello pizza have been among the most popular.
]Their crowds can range from a few people avidly taking notes on the recipe, to a mass of people clamoring to taste the next thing coming out of the oven or off the grill. The demos are led by Scott, the creator of MFT and a bit of a comedian when giving a presentation. While
All of their sauces are based off the ketchup they make themselves, which in turn is based on the all purpose rub also made in house. This allows for a surprisingly unique flavor across the whole line that you normally wouldn't find in your typical big brand name. They embody a smokier, more full flavor, with their BBQ sauces having a variety of heat. "When their bottle says hot, they really mean hot. Not that wimpy crap you get at Walmart." says an anonymous taster.
